Monica Waisman
Violine

Mónica Waisman studied violin at the Oberlin Conservatory with Marilyn McDonald, and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag with Elizabeth Wallfisch. She has led a successful career in the field of historical performance, playing with the most renowned period instrument ensembles and orchestras in Europe, taking part in recordings and tours in Europe, North and South America, as well as Asia. She is first violin and soloist of the Ensemble 1700 (Dorothee Oberlinger) and of Musica Temprana (Adrián van der Spoel). Her various recordings range from the standard repertoire of the European Baroque and Classical literature to recently re-discovered jewels from eighteenth-century South America.
